The most important element of the grinding process is your workpiece.

Engineered Cycles

Integrated “Engineered Cycles” make it easy to calculate optimal settings. Engineered Cycle Technology™ converts grinding process requirements into optimal machine settings.

We look at the grinding process from the workpiece perspective rather than the machine or control perspective. Based on your part requirements, Engineered Cycles are used by GrindMaster to find your optimal machine settings.

GrindMaster controls reduce the need for advanced training while simultaneously increasing the efficiency of your grinding process

History

With “Engineered Cycles,” the GrindMaster HMI allows operators to understand and program processes from different points of view with the added benefit of promoting thoughtful process improvements.

A typical grinding machine “Human Machine Interface” (HMI) requires the machine operator to program the grinding cycle in machine motions — requiring a skilled operator who knows the relationships between machine motions and manufacturing processes.

Users often complained that their machines were not performing well and on almost every occasion, the users were using the wrong relationship values.

Many users had trouble understanding the relationship between the machine motions and the manufacturing process.

To help their understanding, I developed an HMI that could program in terms of machine motions or the grinding process or in both simultaneously!

The HMI simultaneously shows the machine motions and the manufacturing process and how changes affect each other without circular reference errors.
