GrindMaster is a tailored grinding control, not an off-the-shelf CNC. Our controls are customized to your application and process goals. Our user interface is intuitively designed and customized around each customer’s business and operation needs. Order from our library of features or request your features and we’ll have them developed for you.
Master the grinding process
We have developed tools to help break down the grinding process to make your machines more accessible and require less operator training to run.
For example, we allow you to edit grinding parameters such as “material removal rate” and “chip thickness” side-by-side with machining parameters like “infeed rate”, “traverse rate”, and “work speed”. This approach shows how changing one parameter can affect the grinding process and helps to visualize the process relationships.
We provide real-time graphs to help optimize your cycles and cumulative graphs to spot long-term trends and gain insights into how your machine operates best.
Compatibility and Installation
The GrindMaster is compatible with most industry-standard drive interfaces, fieldbuses, and feedback devices. We often only need to replace your HMI and controller and leave your existing motors, drives, and i/o in place. But if you would like a complete electrical retrofit, we can do that as well.
Because the GrindMaster is compatible with most industry-standard devices, it should be easier to find standard replacement devices years from now. We pay special attention to labeling wires and devices to always be able to find the information you need.
Increase machine safety
We make it easy to operate with a large, easy-to-read display and a well laid-out, intuitive operator station to minimize mistakes.
GrindMaster is constantly monitoring wheel load and axes torques to see if they are consistent with the operation. If it senses a safety problem, it will perform appropriate safety measures.

Robert Lamontagne (Owner/President) has been designing and integrating grinding systems since 1983 and putting "Engineered Cycles" onto grinding machines since 1992.
Trained as an expert in grinding process control theory, Robert Lamontagne developed skills in a broad range of disciplines related to grinding and has the experience to make manufacturers comfortable with the most demanding grinding operations.
